At the ITF 2013 summit, iMobility Challenge focused on “cooperative systems” whereby cars communicate with the infrastructure, for energy efficiency in urban traffic. With the support of the BMW Group, the following cooperative and intelligent mobility solutions were demonstrated: Strategic Routing (integration of traffic management information into navigation); Traffic Light Assistant (displaying in-vehicle information about traffic light phases); and Intermodal Routing (combining individual guidance with public transport offers).
